Trauma-informed
Expressive Arts Therapy
for Sensitive Creatives who are Stuck
In-person in Berkeley and virtually across California.

You don’t have to stay stuck

You’re going through the motions—day after day—without joy, without a sense of purpose. You feel disconnected from your creativity, from yourself, and from meaningful relationships.

You are highly sensitive and emotionally aware. This is your superpower. And yet, you’ve been mistreated in jobs and relationships.  You sacrifice your needs for others and lack self-confidence. As a child, space wasn't made for your feelings. You learned to make yourself small to stay safe. This pattern has continued, also due to systems like racism, patriarchy, and intergenerational trauma.

You have felt driven to overwork or prove yourself in order to feel worthy. You’re hard on yourself. Now your nervous system is overwhelmed. You feel paralyzed, unable to engage in the things that once brought you joy—especially creative expression and connection.

I am Rosina Roibal, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), based in Berkeley, CA. I help sensitive creatives gently untangle from the past—especially the internalized beliefs that keep you feeling small—through the nervous system, creativity, the body, and acceptance. I am client-centered, therapist-led.

We connect to feelings, with compassion and courage. Many of our current struggles are rooted in unmet emotional needs from childhood and from living in an oppressive society. In our work, we slow down and learn what your needs are—and how to meet them.

In therapy jargon: My approach is client-centered and therapist-led, and is strength-based, attachment-based, trauma-informed, systemic, experiential, and psychodynamic. I use narrative therapy, mindfulness, somatics, expressive arts, parts work, EMDR, and liberation psychology.
