Trauma Healing

Do you find yourself trapped in unhealthy and painful cycles and patterns? Do you find yourself getting easily overwhelmed? We often don't realize that our problems are actually trauma responses, caused by complex trauma. They might be forms of fight, flight, freeze, faun, appease....old, old ways of keeping ourselves safe and alive. Some of the symptoms of complex trauma might look like dissociating, avoiding, isolating, coping, people-pleasing, body tension, anxiety, outbursts, controlling, overworking, perfectionism, shame, etc. It is likely that many of your current challenges stem from the way you were treated in the past, including attachment needs that were unmet, from complex trauma.
It's not about blaming anyone or avoiding responsibility, but it's about understanding and validating the causes of our struggles. And, it's about tending to our wounded selves and giving them what they perhaps did not receive...usually unconditional care, compassion, empathy, and space to exist. We need reparenting and to feel safe to feel our feelings. I reparent wounded parts of you, model how to treat yourself, highlight the resilience already in you, teach you tools to regulate (especially in the body), and support efforts to build healthy relationships and community.
I am continuously honored and inspired by clients and their resilience....their survival and thriving of their trauma, like a flower growing out of concrete.
